Lazarus Union Supports World Diabetes Day

“Access to Diabetes Care – Education to Protect Tomorrow”

On 14 November, the Lazarus Union joins millions of people around the globe in marking World Diabetes Day – a day dedicated to raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and showing solidarity with everyone affected by diabetes.

Why it Matters

Diabetes is one of the fastest-growing health challenges of our time. Over 500 million people worldwide are living with the disease – many without sufficient access to diagnosis, treatment, or education. For countless families, diabetes is not just a medical condition, but a daily struggle that demands resilience, discipline, and support.

Our Commitment

As an organisation dedicated to compassion, community, and service, the Lazarus Union recognises the importance of standing together in the fight against diabetes. On this World Diabetes Day we:

  • Raise Awareness – by sharing knowledge about prevention, symptoms, and treatment.
  • Promote Education – because understanding diabetes is key to reducing stigma and ensuring better health outcomes.
  • Show Solidarity – with those living with diabetes and their families.

What You Can Do

  • Learn the Basics: Know the warning signs of diabetes and the steps you can take for prevention.
  • Support Education: Share information in your community – awareness can save lives.
  • Stand with Us: Wear blue, the colour of diabetes awareness, and help spread the word on 14 November.

Together for a Healthier Tomorrow

The Lazarus Union believes that no one should face diabetes alone. By promoting education, solidarity, and compassion, we can help build a healthier and more inclusive world.

Join us this World Diabetes Day.
Because every step we take together brings us closer to a world where care and knowledge are available to all.
